You see, I believe money is a spiritual practice. Money is one of the best spiritual teachers I’ve ever had. I’ve had to learn how to change my mindset about money. I’ve also had to unlearn a lot of societal and cultural myths about money so that I could build the six-figure business I have today.
In fact, one of my biggest lessons is that money is just currency and currency is just energy. Energy can be directed and it can help us set intentions and work toward our goals.
This is information I usually reserve for my coaching clients, so grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the tour!
Why you need to see money as energy
Here’s the deal. As a business, coach I teach a lot of the masculine structures that are necessary for running a business. This includes sales, marketing, branding, systems and all the tech stuff required.
But that’s just one part of the money making process.
The other part is all about the feminine which covers faith, receptivity, belief and allowing. Without this, we won’t make money.
And I’ve seen it happen too.
I know people who make sales calls all day, work themselves to the bone and hustle like animals but they are still making little to no money.
Usually, it’s because there is a subconscious belief that what they want isn’t possible for them or that they don’t deserve it so they sabotage. There’s a jam in the flow of energy.
The truth is making money isn’t hard. It’s actually easy. Unlearning all the bullshit we’ve been taught about how hard it is to make money is what’s hard.
How my prosperity altar helps me
We’ve been taught a lot of myths about money. A limiting belief I’m learning to let go of is the belief that you need to overwork yourself to make money. I’m currently bringing ease and flow into my business. The constant grind is no longer a part of my story
I’ve logically understood this for a long time, but I’m working on integrating it on all levels. The prosperity altar is a physical representation and daily reminder of this.
What is on my prosperity altar?
My prosperity altar has evolved over the years, but there are specific things I always have on it. Here they are.
Crystals associated with money, success, luck and abundance
Crystals have long been associated with specific energy streams that can help us improve our lives. Money is no different. In fact, there are tons of crystals I have on my altar that are associated with money. That’s why when I first launched Persuade to Profit I sent all the students a small crystal to help them align their energy.
My favorites include natural citrine, green aventurine, amazonite and pyrite. When I was just learning about wealth consciousness, I had a citrine on me at almost all times. I also meditate with these stones and I’ll have them around during sales calls or when I’m coaching clients.
I have a green prosperity Buddha on my altar. This is used to hold incense and my palo santo which is what I use to clear the space. I deal with a lot of people day in and day out so I always make sure to clear the energy.
You can find this particular Buddha at SageGoddess.com. Click here to get your own!
Dieties associated with prosperity and success
I have two small figurines on my altar. The first is a Lakshmi who is a hindy goddess associated with prosperity and beauty. I also have a Ganesha who is believed to be the remover of obstacles. Both of these guys were purchased at a store in Miami called Golden Triangle.
Candles, candles and more candles
I love candles. Always have. In fact, you’ll never see my home without candles.
I’ve used several candles from SageGoddess.com that are associated with prosperity and abundance. I’m currently using a specific trio for success, manifestation and prosperity. (P.S. This set sells out quickly. If you’d like to check it out for yourself you can do so by clicking here: )
I also have a travel sized candle in a small tin. This is my portable money draw candle which I will light on my workdesk when I have a day of meetings or I’m working with coaching clients.
Green singing bowl
Sometimes I prefer to clear the energy with sound so I have a green singing bowl on my prosperity altar. I got it from Daddy Daughter Jewelry in Wynwood.
And finally, I have a gratitude/prayer jar on my prosperity altar. It currently houses the invocations that came with the candles. I’ll also write some words of gratitude on post it notes and put it in the jar.
How do I use my prosperity altar?
I use my prosperity altar in a few ways. Here are some of them:
- Visualizing what I want. In fact, I did a similar altar to this one about a year ago with the intention of finding a new home. Within three weeks I found the apartment I live in now.
- Saying gratitude every day.
- Special intentions. The day I filemed this video I lit the candles with a special intention for a friend who needed to pass a licensing exam to move forward in his business. Just before I started filming I got a text from him telling me he’d passed!
