We have clients who come from differing religious backgrounds, many of whom are Christian-based. Many of these clients have struggled with the idea of making money. I grew up Catholic, and I don’t remember hearing that Jesus doesn’t like money.
We live in a world that emphasizes being socially conscious, which is excellent. However, many people equate being socially aware of having a low-income lifestyle. Who said you had to be anti-capitalism to be socially conscious?
You may have a big heart, want to change the world, fight for social justice, and I am 100% with you on this subject. However, some of you are too busy fighting instead of thinking strategically.
The Purpose of Social Media
Social media has been a dumpster fire for years. I don’t see a point in using social media unless it’s to make money. Emotions are running super high, and people will pick fights. Using your energy for fighting is exhausting, and it doesn’t accomplish anything useful. That being said, that doesn’t mean there aren’t times where you have to be vocal on social media, step up, and be a thought leader. However, what I see most on social media isn’t leadership. I see it as fighting instead of strategy.
Market Capitalism with Integrity
When it gets to my money, I get real conservative quick. My family fled communism in Cuba to be in this capitalist market. When moving into the market, it’s essential to be a capitalist with ethics and integrity.
It all comes down to integrity. You may have been told that rich people are wrong. Some may have said to you that you’re never going to beat the system, it’s made to keep you down. While that is true to some extent, you still have to learn how to play the earth game. Learn how to play the game of money and humanity. You are hurting yourself if you don’t learn how to play these games.
A Better Life = Making More Money
If you want a better life, you need to make some damn money. Remember, though, it’s not about the money and the cash sitting in the bank, and it’s not about hoarding your finances. It’s about the opportunities that money affords you.
Money gives you options and choices. The more money I make, the more people I can provide jobs, too, the more I can make, donate, and more influence to possibly change parts of the system. Money is simply a resource, a tool, and you can use it with integrity.
Visualize and Manifest Money
I hear people say they are going to manifest some money directly through visualization. They don’t create action; they only see themselves with cash. They’re broke because they didn’t pick up the phone and try to sell. They didn’t send the damn email because they didn’t organize their finances. And that’s what I mean by playing this game; you can’t wish for things to appear. Wishing, alone, won’t make money magically plop into your bank account.
Nothing Makes Change Faster than Money
I understand that things need to change. I know things are fucked up. I know things are not equitable, and there’s an abuse of power. There has always been an abuse of power. And guess what? There’s probably still going to be some form of abuse of power because we don’t live on a perfect planet.
Think about this – money is neutral, and it’s not a bad thing to want money. It doesn’t make you the wrong person. If you do want to change the world, make money, and create the change.
Nothing makes change faster than money. Rather than trying to fight the damn system all the time, learn how to play games. Put yourself in a position of influence to make changes we need to see.
